Nitro RC boats are operated by a glow engine. The fuel is a combination of methanol, nitro-methane and oil. Different mix ratios are marketed for various reasons. Typically, the oil is using castor oil.
The nitro or glow engine offers an extra boost of speed and memory for RC boating. The conventional nitro engine differs slightly in the nitro engine on RC cars and planes since it is water-cooled rather than air-cooled.Water makes its way into via a tube underneath the boat, goes through a cooling mind around the cylinder and out the boat, taking heat in the engine by using it. There's also a few other designs which use the nitro engine and extra hardware to produce an outboard motor or perhaps a jet drive system -- popular on some racing models.
